Thank you

We were blown away by the big response to our request for Prayer Team members. Thank you for holding us in your hearts!

The Academy

Alumni - for this year's new alumni: most are starting a new year of high school or college in the next few weeks.
Director of The Academy - for godly discernment during the hiring process.
Conference Staff Debriefs - for staff to have a clear memory of the conference, and for good ideas on how to improve it next year.

New Partners - Chad's big focus for the month is finding new ministry partners who believe in the Christian adulthood cause.
Teach Them to Pray - for a good beginning to an important new training ministry.
Whittier Christian High School - Praise for a great week of discussion-leading! 7 classes of students heard why discussion matters and experienced a discussion led by Chad. He got to see them "waking up, seeing each other, talking about things that matter, and discovering their actual questions." Teachers got excited, and felt like they knew what they needed to do next. Pray for continued formation in their classrooms through honest discussion.

Monthly Givers Rally -  for a big influx of new Monthly Givers this month to meet our $3000 goal.
The Academy Family Campaign - for a few last gifts to meet our $50,000 goal, allowing us to bring on a new Director of The Academy and start year-round ministry to alumni and their families.
Upcoming Private Benefactor Events - for smooth planning, good friendships, and a spirit of collaborative generosity. For Peter as he prepares to speak.

Fall Project Planning - for wisdom as we calendar our projects and assign responsibility.
Digital Systems Updates - for Lisa as she picks a new CRS system and other software, especially as we get ready to build a new alumni network.

Praying Together

This week, we focused on the following passage to help us pray:

Psalm 15

O Lordwho shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things shall never be moved.
