"He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
Thanks for praying with us.
The whole staff is feeling really stretched thin today, from factors both inside the office and outside it. So, we went to Psalm 121. When we feel helpless, it helps us remember that God is always active, always caring. If that's the case, then we can trust that even our difficulties are inside his care for us, whether we understand it or not.
Here are this week's requests and praises:
Financial burdens - We have less coming in through donations than we need right now, and it's causing significant strains. Pray for Peter and Lisa as they make decisions in response to the financial facts, and pray that - however he wants - God would bring new financial provision in quickly.
Peter's Computer - One more week of prayers should do it. We get as much data as could be recovered back today. Please pray that all the most essential items were retained!
Monthly Givers Rally - Please pray for favor with the community, and ample provision for our needs through monthly giving.
Presentation - Peter and Mike (President of the Board) had a presentation last week that went really well. Please pray that God uses it this week to move individuals to become Wheatstone benefactors.
Advancement Intern - We're seeking an intern for this semester. Please pray that God brings us the right candidates!
Grant Writing - The husband of an alumna is donating some grantwriting time and expertise. Pray that God would give us favor with the foundations we approach.
Retreat planning - This week we have a big review of our Retreats ministry. Please pray that God would guide Chad and Peter to make the right improvements to this offering, and that he would use it to encourage lots of schools and churches over the next few months and years.
Public Discussion for Transformation - Next Saturday, we have our biannual public DfT training! Pray that God would bring the right participants and use the training to make many communities more effective at inviting their youth into Christian adulthood.
Academy Alumni and Academy Families - Please continue to pray for our Academy family and alumni advisors as they chart the next steps for offering new services and ministry opportunities to these two groups.
This week's Psalm
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
